ABOUT DAN E.T.
Dan E.T. is the genre-bending solo project of singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Danny Torgersen, blending rock, reggae, ska, and jazz into an otherworldly sound fueled by infectious grooves and big-brain curiosity. His music dives headfirst into aliens, conspiracy theories, philosophy, and the strange poetry of being human, all delivered with charisma, humor, and undeniable feel.
Torgersen first made his mark as the magnetic frontman of cult-favorite “space-jazz” outfit Captain Squeegee, and has since become a trusted collaborator both onstage and in the studio with artists including Grieves, Badfish, Mouse Powell, The Irie, and Fayuca.
Since launching in 2023, Dan E.T. has steadily built momentum, now boasting 21,986 monthly listeners on Spotify, with the first four singles from his upcoming debut EP surpassing 200,000 combined streams. His debut single “RoundTrip” featuring The Kaleidoscope Kid was followed by “Do You Right” with longtime collaborator and tourmate Grieves, and “High Tide” (Nov 2024), featuring reggae-rock veterans Passafire, a standout track praised for its pop hooks, progressive edge, and thoughtful lyricism.
On March 20, 2026, Dan E.T. will release his debut EP Phone Home, a fully realized introduction to his cosmic, genre-fluid world.
Beyond his solo work, Torgersen has built a remarkable career as a touring and session trumpeter, performing with artists such as Cardi B, Weezer, Gondwana, Authority Zero, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, and touring internationally with Fidel Nadal (Argentina) and Boom! Percussion. His projects have opened for icons including George Clinton, CeeLo Green, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Ozomatli, Streetlight Manifesto, and The Aquabats.
In 2026, Torgersen was also part of Mega Ran’s children’s album Buddy’s Magic Tree House, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Children’s Album, further cementing his versatility across genres and audiences.
In addition to performing, Torgersen composes music for film and television and works extensively as a producer and engineer at his own studio, Dimension12 Studios, bringing his adventurous ear and collaborative spirit to every project.
Dan E.T. can be found touring throughout 2025–2026 with Badfish, Grieves, and more, as well as releasing new music and videos throughout the year.
